SUMMARY:Scent Final Showcase
DESCRIPTION:On 20-21 June 2019\, the Scent project will host the Scent Showcase in Athens\, Greece. This is an opportunity for you to experience the new innovations in environmental monitoring. \nThe two day event will feature exhibitions and demonstrations of new applications developed by the Scent project for tracking changes in the environment. Attendees will also be able to participate in interactive sessions with experts in the field of citizen science and flood management. On the second day of the event\, attendees are invited to take part in a field campaign on the Kifisos river basin\, where the Scent applications will be put to the test. \nOn display will be the newly developed Scent Toolbox – a collection of smart technologies developed by the project to support environmental monitoring\, as well as flood management and prevention. The Scent Toolbox includes Scent Explore and Scent Measure\, two fun new gaming apps to enable citizens to monitor changes in the environment around them. \nThese new apps are currently being tested in citizen science campaigns in Greece and Romania. The data collected from these apps is used to create vital flood maps for the region. The results from these first campaigns will also be on display at the Showcase. \nRegistration for the event will open soon.
